Over six weeks students go from zero to performing their own sets, with music they choose. Then they headline a festival in front of the whole school. This is the one that changes things. Miss Tash in the room
Natasha Trandos-Krsteski is a registered teacher and pro DJ performing as TASHNAT. Her teaching experience spans primary and secondary settings in Australia and the UK, including Trinity College, St Mark’s Anglican School, East Kimberley College and Notting Hill Preparatory School. She has taught Primary, Visual Arts and Humanities in regional, remote, neurodiverse, gifted and talented learning spaces, including with twice-exceptional students.
She’s also taught DJ workshops across Australia and performed for crowds from 10 to 45,000, from classrooms and community events to festivals and major sporting events.
She brings together real classroom experience, professional DJ experience and a genuine passion for helping kids find confidence, connection and a place to belong.

Hey, I’m Miss Tash,
I created this program because I believe music can do more than make kids dance. It can help them feel confident, connected and proud of who they are.
I came to DJing later in life, following a passion my inner kid never forgot. It gave me a way to reconnect with creativity, confidence and joy, and I wanted kids to experience that too.
I think it’s important that we meet kids where they’re at and give them opportunities to explore, create and have a go. Because when kids feel like they belong, they’re more willing to step up, and when they step up, confidence grows.
I’ve seen it happen again and again. The shy kid getting behind the DJ decks. The student who never thought they were creative making something they’re genuinely proud of. Kids finding their people and surprising themselves.
That’s the part I’m most proud of. Creating a space where kids can be themselves, try something new and realise they’re capable of more than they thought.
